About this job

In the role of Performance Media Leader, you are responsible for developing a multichannel performance media strategy in close collaboration with the media agencies, contributing to the IKEA business goals and marketing objectives.

What will you do?

You will:

  • Act as a member of the Marketing team and actively contribute to the marketing plan/output in order to deliver to the common objectives and goals.
  • Be responsible for the development and implementation of the integrated media plan across paid, earned and owned media, online and offline, with a strong focus on digital performance media.
  • Be responsible for budget management, striving to maximize return on investment and ensure cost transparency.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Performance Leader on performance analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Closely collaborate with, challenge and steer exchanges with the media agency on a daily basis.
  • Actively cooperate with all key stakeholders within the broader commercial department and beyond to secure buy-in from all parties involved, a common focus and maximal impact.
  • Pro-actively challenge the status-quo, with an open and curious mindset to test and evaluate new marketing technology, audience strategies and buying tactics.
  • Be an active player in driving an open and sharing climate, be a role model of the IKEA values, and contribute to the transformation of IKEA

In this role you will report to the Country Integrated Media Manager.

This role is located in Zaventem, Belgium.

Who you are

  • You are a digital native with a deep knowledge of how online media channels influence the consumer journey to drive traffic and sales online and offline. You can think strategically and long-term, while keeping a clear focus on day-to-day business. You are keen on monitoring performance and investigating optimization tactics, including budget reallocations or changes in the media mix in close collaboration with the paid search, programmatic and social media specialists at the media agency. You are highly numerate and data-driven with a commercial mindset, eager to continuously test and learn. You have extensive experience in internal and external stakeholder management and are in the know on the latest evolutions in the online media world.
  • You have a broad knowledge of the media industry and how to integrate Paid, Owned and Earned media. You are interested in the role marketing technology can play in improving audience-based targeting and media mix optimization. You are energizedby contributing to business growth and increasing customer value. You are passionate about the IKEA brand and company values, and are eager to grow in your role and in the organization.

For this role we believe you have minimum 3 years of experience in marketing and digital media planning and optimization. Ideally, you have experience working in the retail industry.
