On-Hertz develops a disruptive way of producing media shows, primarily for the fast-evolving broadcast industry (radio, tv, podcast…).

On-Hertz is seeking a passionate and talented senior front-end developer who likes challenges and wants to work in an exciting and technically demanding industry to expand the core team.

Wat zal je doen?

A great user experience is our primary concern. Your creativity and knowledge will be used and showcased in our products, which we want stylish, addictive and fun to use yet professional.

You will refine our design system, enhance the library of custom, reusable components that our customers and we use across our apps. You will design and develop highly performant UIs for web, desktop and mobile apps on top of our modular, real-time media engine.

You will be part of a small yet growing team where technological decisions are taken collectively in our customers' best interest. We expect you to take an active role in that process.

Wie je bent

What do you bring to the table?

• you hold a Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in computer science, (software) engineering, electronics or equivalent professional experience
• you have advanced knowledge and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in most of the technologies of our stack
• you have strong analytical, architectural, problem-solving skills and enjoy challenges
• you are proactive and not afraid to learn
• you are oriented towards quality, customer satisfaction and pay attention to details
• you can work to committed deadlines
• you have an excellent ability to manage your time, organize yourself and work in autonomy within a small team
• you write and speak English fluently
• you have a sense of humour and a taste for offbeat jokes

The cherries on the cake?

• affinity with UX and UI design
• other programming languages such as Python, shell or C++ is an advantage
• experience with advanced web technologies such as the Web Audio API, WebRTC, WebGL and Web Assembly.
